From Downtown Knoxville: Take 1-40 East. Exit at Rutledge Pike (Exit 392). Exit will loop around to light. Turn right (north) onto Rutledge Pike. Stay on Rutledge Pike 10.8 miles. You will pass multiple heavy equipment companies, East Knox County Elementary, and House Mountain State Reserve. Right after House Mountain Reserve there will be a series of left hand turn-offs. Varnard Lane is the last left hand turn-off, right before the Big Flat Creek bridge. (The house on the corner has a blue roof.) If you cross the creek, you have gone too far. Turn left at Varnard Lane. The farm is located at the corner of Rutledge Pike and Varnard Lane. You will see farm and brown house on right.

“The care of the Earth is our most ancient and most worthy, and after all most pleasing responsibility. To cherish what remains of it and to foster its renewal is
our only hope.”
