THOUGHTS ON THIS PAST WEEK’S FOOD:
This week suffered from real life intruding in a big way. Illness in the family and traveling torpedoed a lot of our plan. We tried to roll with it.

Our share got stuffed in the fridge in Kroger bags until we could deal with it. We did wash some lettuce to have on hand for quick salads.

We did try a new recipe this week, Grilled Cabbage Wedges with Spicy Lime Dressing. It did not turn out well. We tried it with napa cabbage. Don’t do this. 😀 The sauce is fantastic, so I’m looking forward to trying it with regular cabbage.

We’re carrying over a lot of vegetables into next week. We’re hoping that we can use them up. It’ss a financially tight week for us, so we’ll need to use every bit of what we had and what we get. It’s also a fairly busy week, and I’ll be traveling over the weekend. Hopefully, we’ll be up to the CSA challenge!

I hope you all had another great week filled with great food!

“The care of the Earth is our most ancient and most worthy, and after all most pleasing responsibility. To cherish what remains of it and to foster its renewal is
our only hope.”
